Giornata di qualifiche al PortugueseGP
Portogallo – Portimao, 25 Marzo – La seconda giornata sul circuito di Portimao si apre questa mattina alle 8.40 con le ultime prove libere.se
Entrambi gli Snipers sfruttano queste sessioni per migliorare ancora una volta il setting della moto, studiando nuove modifiche.
Non arrivano purtroppo i risultati sperati nelle FP3, Matteo chiude 19esimo a 1.069 dalla testa, mentre Romano finisce qualche posizione successivamente.
Entrambi quindi costretti a passare dalle Q1 dove ricordiamo,
solamente i primi 4 riders potranno poi accedere alle qualifiche2.
Matteo, riesce a ritrovare un ottimo feeling ed a mettere in pratica quello che aveva iniziato nei test, gli sfugge per un soffio la Q2.
Il team manager Mirko Cecchini: “Siamo molto soddisfatti per Matteo, anche se per un pelo non ha potuto combattere per guadagnare posizioni migliori in griglia di partenza domani. Stiamo lavorando per capire e migliorare con Romano, stiamo provando varie modifiche sulla moto, dobbiamo sicuramente provare e trovare la strada giusta.”
Matteo Bertelle: “Sono un po’ dispiaciuto perché mi è mancato davvero poco per l’accesso in Q2. Alla fine va bene così. Oggi è la moto che sentivo ai test e dobbiamo partire da qua. Domani abbiamo 20giri di gara senza warm-up quindi dobbiamo partire pronti.”
Romano Fenati: “Oggi ho fatto più fatica rispetto ai test. Mi manca il grip con la moto che avevo guadagnato durante quei giorni. Quindi sia io che tutto il team stiamo cercando di fare delle prove per capire cosa ci manca.”
Domani entrambi i riders Snipers affronteranno una gara in rimonta dove comunque partire dalle retrovie cambia relativamente poco. Nelle gare Moto3, lo sappiamo, può succedere di tutto e noi ci faremo trovare pronti!

Matteo narrowly misses out on Q2
Second Day #PortugueseGp
Portugal – Portimao, March 25th – The second day at the Portimao circuit starts this morning at 8:40 am with the final free practices. Both Snipers are using these sessions to improve the bike’s setting, studying new modifications. Unfortunately, the desired results do not come in FP3, with Matteo finishing 19th at 1.069 from the first position while Romano finishes a few positions later. Both are forced to go through Q1, where only the top 4 riders can then access Q2. Matteo manages to find an excellent feeling and put into practice what he had started in testing, narrowly missing out on Q2.
Team manager Mirko Cecchini said: “We are very satisfied with Matteo, even though he could not fight to gain better positions on the starting grid tomorrow. We are working to understand and improve with Romano, trying various modifications on the bike. We definitely need to try and find the right way.”
Matteo Bertelle:”I’m a bit disappointed because I missed access to Q2 by very little. In the end, it’s okay. Today it was the bike that I felt during testing, and we have to start from here. Tomorrow we have 20 laps of the race without a warm-up, so we have to be ready.”
Romano Fenati said: “Today I struggled more than in testing. I lack the grip with the bike that I gained during those days. So both I and the whole team are trying to do some testing to understand what we are missing.”
Tomorrow, both Snipers riders will face a comeback race, where starting from the back changes relatively little. In Moto3 races, we know anything can happen, and we will be ready! See you tomorrow, without warm-up on the track at 11:00 am local time, 12:00 in Italy
