Prima giornata di prove sulle colline del Mugello

Mugello – Italia, 09 Giugno – Siamo arrivati finalmente al Gran Premio di casa, quello più bello ed emozionante per tanti piloti, soprattutto per gli italiani.
Se mettiamo che fin da piccoli Romano e Matteo si sono allenati su questo asfalto, che questo circuito emana una particolare energia, aggiungiamo che il tifo già in questa prima giornata di qualifiche si inizia a far sentire, il risultato è una bomba carica ad orologeria.
Questa mattina gli Snipers aprono le danze con un buon tempo: Romano firma la l’ottava posizione con il tempo 01’57.9620. Mentre Matteo, qualche posizione più dietro lavora molto con il team sul miglioramento della moto e sulle vibrazioni dell’anteriore.
Nel pomeriggio invece una nota di amarezza per il team; quando mancano 3 minuti al termine della sessione Matteo sta per agguantare un ottimo tempo, con ben 2 caschi rossi, quando viene sventolata la bandiera rossa per la caduta di un pilota. Tempo cancellato, si dovrà accontentare domani della 22esima posizione, sicuro però che ha tutte le carte in regola per fare un’ottima sessione di qualifiche.
Romano invece, dopo un lavoro sulla moto da parte del team, migliora di qualche millesimo, quello che gli permetterà di chiedere sesto.
Domani entrambi gli Snipers avranno davanti a sè un sabato impegnativo, il circuito del Mugello può essere croce e delizia, sta a loro lottare per centrare il loro obiettivo.

Mirko Cecchini, Team Owner: “Siamo abbastanza contenti, Romano ha raggiunto un buon tempo. è solo una buona base da dove partire domani. Abbiamo lavorato sodo in queste settimane di stop prima di questa gara molto importante e speriamo che sia dalla nostra parte anche un po’ di fortuna.”

Matteo: “Sono state entrambe sessioni positive, abbiamo migliorato la moto tra le fp1 e le fp2. Purtroppo sono fuori dalle Q2 per un po’ di sfortuna. Speriamo che non piova perché sono molto carico e mi piacerebbe trovare le condizioni più ottimali della pista.”

Romano: “Abbiamo lavorato sodo provando diversi setting anche nel periodo pre Mugello. Mi sento molto bene in sella e sono fiducioso di poter fare ancora meglio. Le prove di oggi mi hanno fatto accedere alle Q2 ma domani vorrei dare ancora più gas.”

Mugello – Italy, June 09 – We have finally reached the home Grand Prix, the most beautiful and exciting one for many drivers, especially for the Italians.
If we consider that since they were young, Romano and Matteo have trained on this asphalt, that this circuit emits a particular energy, and add that the cheering is already starting to be heard in this first day of qualifying, the result is a ticking time bomb.
This morning, the Snipers kick off the proceedings with a good time: Romano secures the eighth position with a time of 01’57.9620. Meanwhile, Matteo, a few positions behind, is working closely with the team to improve the bike and the front-end vibrations.
In the afternoon, however, there’s a note of disappointment for the team; with 3 minutes remaining in the session, Matteo is about to achieve an excellent time, with two red sectors, when the red flag is waved due to a rider’s crash. The time is cancelled, and he will have to settle for the 22nd position tomorrow. However, it is certain that he has all the potential to have a great qualifying session.
On the other hand, Romano, after some adjustments made by the team to the bike, improves by a few milliseconds, which will allow him to secure the sixth position.
Tomorrow, both Snipers will face a challenging Saturday ahead. The Mugello circuit can be both a blessing and a curse, and it’s up to them to fight to achieve their goal.

Matteo said, “Both sessions were positive, we improved the bike between FP1 and FP2. Unfortunately, I’m out of Q2 due to a bit of bad luck. Let’s hope it doesn’t rain because I’m feeling really confident and I would like to find the optimal track conditions.”

Romano said, “We worked hard, trying out different settings even before the Mugello period. I feel very good on the bike and I’m confident that I can do even better. Today’s practices allowed me to access Q2, but tomorrow I would like to push even harder.”
