Parte subito all’attacco il cacciabombardiere del team Marinelli Snipers, che oggi, sul circuito di Losail, non ha risparmiato le munizioni. Romano Fenati, in grande forma fisica e mentale, fa segnare subito il terzo tempo, nella prima sessione, dopo essere stato in vetta a pochi minuti dalla fine del turno. Alla faccia del rookie. Il pilota di Ascoli trova conferma anche nella seconda sessione, e chiude la top ten in 2’01.409, a soli 0.4777 dal best time. Tolta la polvere del primo turno, anche il compagno di box, Tony Arbolino, inizia a spingere, e chiude settimo la FP2, con il crono di 2’07.073. Non male per il giovane di Garbagnate che si ritrova nella top ten, assieme a un bel gruppo di italiani. C’è ancora un po’ di lavoro da fare, domani, per ridurre il gap dai top rider ma Tony c’è.

Romano Fenati: “Sono soddisfatto di questa prima giornata. Mi sento davvero bene sulla moto e stiamo facendo un gran lavoro con la squadra. Abbiamo ancora margini di miglioramento, specie in frenata e domani lavoreremo per avvicinarci alla vetta”.

Tony Arbolino: “Durante il primo turno abbiamo avuto un problema tecnico che abbiamo poi risolto nella FP2. C’è ancora un po’ di lavoro da fare sulla ciclistica, ma mi sento decisamente meglio rispetto a questa mattina e vediamo domani di ridurre il gap dai primi”.

The rider of the Marinelli Snipers team was on the attack today at Losail International Circuit without saving his ammo. Romano Fenati: “I am satisfied of this first day. I am feeling really good on the bike and we are doing a great job with my team. We can improve, especially in braking and tomorrow we will work to get close the top”.

Tony Arbolino: “During the first free practice we had some technical problem that we solved in the FP2. We still have some work to do on the set up but I am feeling much better compared to this morning. Tomorrow we will work to reduce the gap from the top riders”.
