JEREZ DE LA FRONTERA – SPAIN Romano Fenati: “Fare la pole position qua sarebbe stato bellissimo ma ci è mancato qualcosina.

Prima fila e terzo anche oggi come in Texas. Si spera sia di buon auspicio per la gara di domani, nella quale partirà tra i favoriti per il podio. Romano Fenati, ancora una volta primo degli italiani, particolarmente a suo agio sul circuito andaluso dove ha già vinto due volte, dovrà vedersela con gli spagnoli Canet e Martin mentre il leader della classifica, Mir, partirà leggermente attardato, dalla terza fila. Jules Danilo non va oltre il 25° posto in griglia ma, nelle libere della mattina, aveva staccato il 13esimo tempo e ha nelle gambe la potenzialità per recuperare in gara domani.

Romano Fenati: “Fare la pole position qua sarebbe stato bellissimo ma ci è mancato qualcosina. La moto rispetto a questa mattina è migliorata moltissimo, abbiamo lavorato bene. Nelle FP3 eravamo un po’ in difficoltà ma semplicemente perché abbiamo girato troppo poco ieri. Domani sarà una gara tostissima, una bella battaglia di gruppo”.

Jules Danilo: “Oggi in qualifica abbiamo semplicemente sbagliato la strategia. Questa mattina con le soft mi ero trovato benissimo ed ero convinto che fosse la gomma giusta per l’attacco al tempo. Ma le temperature si sono alzate e quando abbiamo capito che la M sarebbe stata la scelta giusta era ormai troppo tardi. Ad ogni modo il feeling è buono e domani può venire fuori una bella gara. Sarà importante partire bene e cercare di superare più piloti possibili nei primi giri”.

Romano Fenati: “Getting the pole position here would have been great and we were close. The bike was really good compared to this morning, we worked well. In the FP3 we has some difficulties simply because we didn’t turn too much yesterday. Tomorrow it will be a very hard race, a group fight“.

Jules Danilo: “Today we did a strategy mistake. In the morning with the soft tyres I felt good and I was convinced it the right one for the time attack. Anyway in the afternoon it was very hot and when we understood that M tyre was the right one it was too late. Anyway, the feeling is good and tomorrow we can do a good race. It will be important to start well and attack in the first laps”.
