moto 2 Romano Fenati: “Non c’era nulla da fare, scivolava da tutte le parti.”
Non è andata come speravamo. Resta l’esperienza accumulata nella prima gara di Moto2 e ancora tanto lavoro da fare. Romano Fenati parte bene dalla seconda fila, si posiziona quarto ma fatica a tenere il passo, sentendo scivolare la gomma da subito. Scivola anche lui nelle retrovie e conclude la corsa al ventiquattresimo posto. Anche Arbolino non va oltre la diciassettesima posizione. Il giovane di Garbagnate deve ritrovare il feeling con la sua Honda.
Romano Fenati: “Partire dalla seconda fila, all’esordio in Moto2, era per me un’emozione grandissima. Sono partito bene, uscendo quarto dalla prima curva, ma ho sentito subito scivolare il posteriore e ho perso immediatamente posizioni. Non c’era nulla da fare, scivolava da tutte le parti. Sono deluso e amareggiato perché i tempi fatti ieri e l’altro ieri erano alla mia portata e non li ho fatti in gara. Tutto serve, l’importante è ripartire e noi lo faremo dall’Argentina”.
Tony Arbolino: “Speravo in una prima gara migliore, ma dopo le qualifiche di ieri sapevo che sarebbe stata dura. Non ero al top, in questo weekend, come lo sono stato nei test invernali. So di poter stare davanti e ripartiamo da questa consapevolezza. Lavoreremo fin da subito con il team e con Honda per risolvere i problemi avuti in questo week end e faremo meglio in Argentina”.

It didn’t go as we wished. It remains the experience of the first Moto2 race and still a lot of work to do. Romano Fenati started well from the second row, he was fourth after the first corner but he couldn’t maintain the pace as he felt the tyre slipping from the first lap. He was back after few laps and ended the race in the twenty-fourth position. Arbolino was seventeenth today and the young rider from Garbagnate has to find again the feeling with his Honda.
Romano Fenati: “Starting from the second row, at my first Moto2 race, was a great emotion for me. I started well, I was fourth after the first corner, but I felt immediately the tyre slipping and I lost positions. There was nothing to do, it was slipping everywhere. I am disappointed as the times I got in the past 2 days were good and I was not able to do the same in the race. We will do better in Argentina”.
Tony Arbolino: “”I hoped in a better first race but after the qualifying of yesterday I knew it was hard. I was not 100% for the whole weekend as I demonstrated in the winter tests. I know I have everything to stay ahead, so it’s important to go on with awareness. We will work now with the team and Honda to solve the problems and we will do our best in Argentina”.
