Moto 3 SKY RACING TEAM VR46 : FENATI E BAGNAIA LAVORANO PER TROVARE IL GIUSTO

Milano, 11 aprile 2014. Per lo Sky Racing Team VR46 la prima giornata di prove libere del Gran Premio d’America scivola via tra piccole mosse di set up e miglioramenti in vista della gara di domenica.

Sui saliscendi del Circuit of the Americas Romano Fenati chiude la seconda sessione all’11° posto (2’18.444), mentre Francesco Bagnaia, frenato da problemi di elettronica, si piazza in entrambe le sessioni al 21° (2’19.317). Entrambi i piloti stanno prendendo le misure in vista di una gara che si preannuncia ricca di spettacolo.

“Stiamo facendo un po’ fatica a trovare il giusto bilanciamento – spiega il team manager Vittoriano Guareschi -. Quella di Austin è una pista con grossi saliscendi e con Romano abbiamo riscontrato delle particolari difficoltà a seconda delle curve: in alcuni casi, non siamo riusciti a trovare il giusto il feeling con la gomma anteriore,  in altri con quella posteriore. Stamattina la pista non era al 100%, abbiamo cercato di migliorare la moto con piccole mosse di set up. Intanto, sempre per quanto riguarda Fenati, abbiamo individuato i punti su cui bisogna migliorare la performance. Con Pecco stamattina c’è stato un problema di elettronica, poi siamo entrati in pista senza troppi cambiamenti. Ad ogni modo, stiamo facendo dei passi in avanti per migliorarci e arrivare al massimo alla gara di domenica”.

Nella prima sessione di prove libere Romano è arrivato 7° (2’18.794), Pecco 21° (2’21.091).

FENATI AND BAGNAIA WORK TO FIND THE RIGHT BALANCE

Milan, April 11, 2014. In the opening day of free practice of the Grand Prix of America, the Sky Racing Team VR46 made little set-up moves and improvements ahead of Sunday’s race.

On the climbing and descending of the Circuit of the Americas, Romano Fenati finished the second session in 11th position (2’18.444), while Francesco Bagnaia, held back by electronics problems, closed both sessions in 21^st position (2’19317). Both riders are testing the waters in view of a race that promises exciting performances.

“We’re struggling a bit to find the right balance,” explained the team manager Vittoriano Guareschi. “The Austin track is a tough up-and-down circuit, and with Romano we experienced various difficulties on the turns: in some cases, we couldn’t find the right feeling with the front tire, in other cases the problem was with the rear one. This morning the track was not at 100%, and we tried to improve the bike with little set-up moves. Meanwhile, we identified the points on which Fenati needs to improve his performance. This morning we also had a little electronics problem with Pecco, but then we joined the race without many changes. Anyway, we are moving forward to improve and to get to Sunday’s race at our best. “

In the first free practice session, Romano finished 7th (2’18.794), Pecco 21st (2’21.091).
