Romano Fenati, primo degli italiani in terra americana

Austin – America, 14 Aprile – prima giornata per questa tappa americana che vede il team snipers affrontare l’asfalto del cota circuit of Americas.

L’atmosfera è quella di un rodeo, Romano e Matteo sono pronti ad accettare la sfida che li porterà ad affrontare una pista difficilissima in sella alla loro Honda. La mattinata di fp1 parte con la classica ricerca di set up ottimale per attaccare il tempo in vista delle qualifiche senza sacrificare il lavoro in ottica gara. Fp1 che termineranno con gli snipers in undicesima e diciottesima posizione.
Analisi dei dati raccolti e revisione dei setting per le fp2 dove i tempi cominciano via via a migliorare. L’ottimo lavoro della giornata culmina con l’accesso di entrambi i ragazzi alle Q2 con l’undicesimo e quattordicesimo tempo della classifica combinata.
Attendiamo con ansia domani per scendere nuovamente in pista per le qualifiche ufficiali.

Matteo Bertelle: “La pista non è una delle migliori a livello di asfalto; stiamo lavorando per migliorarci step dopo step. Sto lavorando sodo con il team per arrivare ad un punto buono, ci siamo molto vicini.”

Romano Fenati: “La pista mi piace molto, qua ho guadagnato una vittoria. Anche se non c’è molto grip si lavora per la prestazione migliore. Domani in qualifica partiamo comunque bene.”
