Romano Fenati: “Si poteva fare di più, il podio oggi era decisamente alla nostra portata.”

Un quarto posto per Romano Fenati che vale quanto una vittoria, anzi se lo meritava il podio Romano dopo una gara combattuta dal primo all’ultimo giro. Il pilota di Ascoli parte bene sul circuito del Sachsenring e si posiziona subito in testa. La strategia migliore, con le morbide, è tentare la fuga per poi resistere negli ultimi giri ma il gruppo è compatto e il piano fallisce. Una spinta di troppo gli toglie il podio ma il reboot sembra finalmente avviato. Romano è tornato a divertirsi in pista e questa è la cosa più importante adesso. Dopo due giorni difficili, Tony Arbolino sembrava, già nel warm up, aver ritrovato la spinta giusta. Un buon inizio gara per lo Sniper di Garbagnate che tenta il recupero ma chiude poi quindicesimo. Un weekend sottotono che non oscura affatto la sua stagione. Tony è fresco di rinnovo con gli Snipers per il 2020. 

Romano Fenati: “Si poteva fare di più, il podio oggi era decisamente alla nostra portata. Andavano tutti forte, soprattutto all’inizio, ed era difficile andare via. Ci ho provato, abbiamo montato la morbida per fare la differenza nei primi giri ma ci siamo resi conto che non c’era molta differenza. A quel punto mi sono messo dietro per cercare di risparmiare la gomma il più possibile. Ci è mancato poco per ottenere quel risultato che tanto stiamo aspettando ma andiamo in pausa più sereni e motivati adesso“.

Tony Arbolino: “Abbiamo lavorato duro ma il duro lavoro non ha ripagato oggi. Peccato perché eravamo forti e dopo le difficoltà dei primi due giorni stavamo risalendo. Non ci abbattiamo, torneremo al top a Brno”.

A fourth place which seems a victory, indeed Romano deserved the podium after a hard fought race from the first to the last lap. The rider from Ascoli started well at Sachsenring circuit and positioned first. The best strategy, with soft tires, was attempting to escape but the group was compact and the plan failed. Romano missed the podium but his reboot finally started and he’s having fun now on track and that’s important. After two difficult days, Tony Arbolino seemed, already in the warm up, having found the right motivation. A good start of race for the Sniper of Garbagnate who tried to recover positions but closed fifteenth at the end. This weekend is not obscuring his season. Tony is fresh from renewal with the Snipers for 2020.

Romano Fenati: “We could do more, we had everything to get the podium today. All the riders were pushing hard, especially at the beginning and it was difficult to escape. I tried it and that’s why we decided to use the soft tires, to do the difference in the first laps, but I understood there was not too much difference. I stayed behind then to save the tyre as much as possible. We were close to a good result, the one we are expecting, but we face the summer break happy and more motivated“.

Tony Arbolino: “We worked hard but the hard work didn’t pay today. It was a shame as we were strong and after the difficulties of the first two days we were recovering. Never give up, we’ll come back stronger at Brno“.
