SKY RACING TEAM VR46: ROMANO RIPARTE DA MISANO PER TORNARE DAVANTI
Misano, 14 settembre 2014. Lo Sky Racing Team VR46 riparte dal Gran Premio di San Marino e della Riviera di Rimini per tornare a essere competitivo nelle posizioni che contano. Romano Fenati, chiude la gara
Francesco Bagnaia non riesce a completare la gara, che si interrompe all’ottavo giro con la moto che si ferma sull’asfalto del circuito di Misano.
La Direzione Sportiva VR46: “Non veniamo da un grande periodo, proprio per questo l’undicesimo posto di Romano – con un buon setting – può essere quello che ci riporterà verso la retta via. La strada è lunga, è dalla gara di Indianapolis che non siamo più lì davanti, quindi stiamo riordinando tutte le idee. Queste gare qui, comunque, sono positive perché bisogna passare da qui per tornare davanti. Dispiace molto per Pecco perché la moto si è spenta a causa di un problema elettrico, nei prossimi giorni andremo a fondo”.
ROMANO FENATI: “E’ stata una gara complicata, soprattutto per le scie, difficili da trovare nel corso dei ventitre giri. Anche sul rettilineo non sono riuscito a spingere come serviva per poter recuperare le posizioni utili a risalire nel gruppo di testa. Ad ogni modo, sono felice di aver avuto l’ennesima conferma che la squadra sta lavorando nel modo giusto, visto anche il buon set-up di base si oggi. Proprio per questo sono convinto che presto saremo di nuovo a lottare tra i primi”.
FRANCESCO BAGNAIA: “Ho cercato fin dall’inizio di recuperare posizioni, sperando in una rimonta. Purtroppo sono riuscito a gestire la gara solo fino all’ottavo giro, quando ho sentito che la moto non era più nelle condizioni di andare avanti. Peccato, ma è uno stimolo in più per provare a ottenere i risultati che vogliamo alle prossime gare. La squadra è unita e siamo pronti a ripartire dal prossimo GP”.

ROMANO GETS AWAY FROM MISANO TO GET BACK TO THE TOP
BAGNAIA’S RACE STOPS ON THE EIGHTH LAP
Misano, September 14, 2014. The Sky Racing Team VR46 starts again from the Gran Premio di San Marino e della Riviera di Rimini to get back and compete for the top positions. Romano Fenati, ended the race in eleventh place failing to find trails and struggling to push on the straight. There is still satisfaction for a good starting set-up and for that recovery sign the team was looking for.
Francesco Bagnaia failed to complete the race, as his bike stopped on the asphalt of the Misano track on the eighth lap.
VR46 Sports management: “We have not gone through a good time recently, that is why Romano’s eleventh position – with a good setting – can be seen as a recovery sign able to get us back on the right track. We still have a long way to go, we have failed to get to the top since the Indianapolis race, so we are now trying to put things back in order. In any case, races of this kind are still positive because we have to face them to get back to the top. I’m deeply sorry for Pecco because his bike turned off due to an electrical problem; over the next few days we’ll get to the bottom of it”.
ROMANO FENATI: “It was quite a complicated race, above all for the trails which were very difficult to be found throughout the 23-lap race. Also on the straight I did not manage to push enough to pull back useful positions and catch up with the leading pack. In any case, I am happy I had the umpteenth confirmation of the fact that the team is doing a great job, also given today’s good set-up. That is why I am sure we will soon be able to compete for top positions”.
FRANCESCO BAGNAIA: “Since the very beginning, I have been trying to pull positions back, hoping to come back. Unfortunately I was only able to handle the race until the eighth lap when I realized the bike was no longer in a position to continue the race. Too bad, but that should give us further momentum to try and get better results in next races. We are a close-knit team and we are ready to start afresh from next GP”.
